Aquatec 8800 Booster Pump Kit for up to 200 GPD RO Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System
The manufacturer has wet-tested all pumps, resulting in water inside the pump head. Temporary rubber plugs are utilized at the inlet and outlet to prevent water from escaping or dust from entering. This pump kit includes an Aquatec high-flow booster pump 8852-2J03-B424 with a heavy-duty steel base plate and damper, a PSW-340 pressure switch, a 110V transformer, and four 3/8" to 1/4" reducer fittings. Detailed instructions are provided.
The pump is designed to increase the water supply pressure to a reverse osmosis (RO) water system. It can raise the input pressure from 30-40 psi to 60-80 psi, depending on the capacity of the RO system. This pump is suitable for RO systems with a capacity of less than 200 gallons per day (GPD).
The kit is compatible with both 1/4" OD and 3/8" OD tubing, as it includes 3/8" to 1/4" reducer fittings for the pump and pressure switch.
The pump operates automatically, with the pressure switch sensing the pressure in the output line. When the output line is shut off, the storage tank is full, or the pressure reaches 40-50 psi, the pump will shut off. When water usage begins and the tank pressure drops, the pump will turn back on to replenish the tank.
This kit does not include the optional Electric-Shut-Off (ESO) solenoid valve. Instead, it relies on the existing mechanical auto-shut-off valve in the RO system to turn off the water supply when the tank is full. For most systems, this kit will work fine. However, if the existing shut-off valve interferes with the pump, an ESO solenoid valve with an Aquatec plug (24VAC) will need to be purchased separately.
